It is failing with me too on windows 10 64bit. i tried running the installer, and trying the manual installation. with the installer i’m getting “driver install failure”. and with the manual installation i get : windows encountered a problem installing the driver software for your device.. Will windows 8 support the serial port, managed code and metro apps like it has in the past? meaning, will we still be able to do something like below to communicate with a usb/virtual com that uses serial data (e.g. com1, 9600, etc. )?.
This is the rs232 driver for the usb adapter. in order to setup the driver you need to download the correct usb driver file and run the installer in the file. once this has been installed you then need to reboot the computer.. Driver downloads download drivers for scanfob brand barcode scanners (like the scanfob 2006 / 3002i / 4000 and keybatch br2 ), bluesnap and wisnap adapters, tertium rfid scanner drivers (like the icekey and ultra pd1 ), and rs232 to usb adapter cable drivers.. Windows 8/8.1/10 are not supported in pl-2303hxa and pl-2303x eol chip versions. run pl2303 checkchipversion tool program in windows xp/vista/7 to check chip version. windows vista, xp, 2000, 98 and windows me driver technical support are discontinued..
