Problem. i was looking for a free (and maybe even open-source) video editor, and after using it for a while i found out that blender is very capable of this task, but i was facing the same problem with the unused resources during exporting the finished file.. Poor performance with h.264 vse up vote 3 down vote favorite sorry if this is a noob question but i started using blender today as a free video editor and now that i'm rendering my project, it's taking a lot longer than i was expecting.. The really cool thing about blender is that it has everything you need for a complete production built-in. this tutorial will introduce you to the video sequence editor or vse, which you can use to edit your animations and real world footage..
