I know that there is no need of teaching you how to format a computer. If you once saw how to format a computer and have little bit of some common sense you can easily format a computer. Simply you just need to put a windows or any other Operating Disk into the CD/DVD drive and restart your computer. Before booting up your device you can see a window asking “Press any key to boot from the CD“. By pressing any key at that time you can enter to the formatting process.
                        

Today in this article we are discussing what to do if you can’t find the window asking “Press any key to boot from the CD“. If you can’t see “Press any key to boot from the CD” option do’t get upset. It’s only due to a simple change in the booting up option.  Like you installs OS from your CD or DVD there is another option to install OS from Hard Disk, Removable Devices etc. If the default booting option is from either Hard Disk or Removable device you can’t able to see “Press any key to boot from the CD” option. 

How to enable “Press any key to boot from the CD” option?

Changing booting option is very easy. First step is to restart your computer.

While starting up your computer you can see the key which enables you to enter to the BIOS Setup. As in the above image it’s F8. This may differ from PC to PC. Click on that specific key.

After pressing that key you will enter into the BIOS setup. Most Common BIOS setup menu’s are a slightly different in most computers. So yours may look the below image or it may look fully different. But Most menu’s will be the same.

In the BIOS setup you can see a option menu named “Boot”. Under the Boot Menu you can see the various booting option including Hard Drive Removable Device and CD-ROM Drive

From there Select and save CD-ROM Drive as Booting option with help of keyboard keys. 

Save the changes you had made. After that you can see the PC getting restart automatically. Now if you have any CD or DVD on your CD-DVD ROM you can see the “Press any key to boot from cd” option visible.
